Ondo State House of Assembly on Tuesday confirmed 15 of the 16 people who were nominated as Commissioners by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The assembly began the nomination screening on June 19 and concluded it on Friday.
In his remarks at Plenary in Akure, Chairman of the Council Council, Head of Olamide Oladiji, advised the commissioners not to abuse their respective offices.
He urged the nominations to avoid personal interest and work for the best interests of the country.
The speaker said one of the nominations, Mr. Abiola Olawoye, there is no confirmation because of the urgent assignment abroad.
Previously, Deputy Chairperson, Mr. Ololade Gbegudu, who submitted a committee report throughout the DPR, said the committee was satisfied with the behavior and credentials of the appointed commissioners.
Gbegudu added that the commissioners who were appointed clearly articulated understanding of the current administrative policies in the state.

“They both highlighted their various achievements in previous assignments as state officials and in other tasks they had experienced and their desire to do more if their appointment as state commissioners was finally confirmed,” he said.
Speaking in the name of the designed commissioner, Mr. Sunday Olajide praised MPs for doing a thorough job with sincerity, and promised to maintain good relations with all government weapons for the progress of the country.
Olajide thanked the Governor for the confidence that was opposed in it.

The other is – Mr. Segun Omoyofunmi, Father Bola Ademuwagun, Mr. Leye Akinola, Dr. Banji invites, and Mr. Adesoji Afolabi.
