2027: David Mark, Aregbesola was appointed as the temporary leader of the ADC coalition to challenge Tinubu

In a strategic step to consolidate the opposition forces ahead of the 2027 general election, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been officially adopted as a political platform for the opposition coalition.

For this effect, former Senate President David Mark was appointed as the temporary national chairman and former State Governor Osun Rauf Aregbesola named the Temporary National Secretary, the official source was revealed on Tuesday.

The decision attended a high -level meeting of opposition leaders in Abuja on Tuesday night.

The coalition, who united prominent figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai, and Rotimi Amaechi, aimed at carrying out the front of the united against the President of the Tinubu Bola and all the progressive congress in 2027.

Besides Mark and Aregbesola, former Sports Minister Bolaji Abdullahi was appointed as Secretary of the National Publicity of the Temporary. Other temporary promises include the role of Zonal’s leadership.

Kola Oologbondiyan, a former PDP spokesman and former aide David Mark, confirmed adoption by post on a verified X account, which stated: “The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been adopted as a political party for the coalition.

Mark and Aregbesola will direct the ADC because it functions as an operational platform during the coalition transition, while efforts continue to pursue the registration of all Democratic Alliances (existing) with the Independent National Election Commission (INEC).
