The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of three suspects related to the abduction of two Ajasin Adekunle University employees, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA).
The incident occurred on Monday, August 4, when armed people invaded the residence of the victims along the Supare Akoko in the area of the Southwest Akoko Regional Government, took them away.
The source revealed that the victims regained freedom on Sunday, August 10, after the ransom payment was kept secret.

Confirming the arrest in a statement issued on Monday at Akure, a commander of the command, DSP Olushola Ayanlade, said:
“I can confirm to you that our operator arrested three kidnappers allegedly in connection with the abduction of two AAUA lecturers. The suspects are currently undergoing profile and interrogation.”
Ayanlade added that the Commissioner of the State Police, Adebowale Lawal, had ordered the direct transfer of the suspects and all recovered exhibitions to anti-Chidnapping forces for “wise and comprehensive investigations.”
