Russian-born Nigerian striker German Onugha scored twice for Vejle Boldklub, who lost 3-2 to visiting Randers in their opening game of the Danish Superliga season on Sunday.
Onugha gave Vejle Boldklub the lead in the 37th minute, but Randers scored in the 52nd and 59th minutes to go 2-1 up.
With three minutes remaining, Onugha scored his second goal to make it 2-2 before a 92nd-minute Randers goal handed Vejle a Matchday 1 defeat.
Born in Moscow to a Nigerian father and a Russian mother, Onugha made his debut in the Russian Professional Football League with FC Zenit Penza on 1 September 2017 in a match against FC Ryazan.
On 1 February 2021, he joined Vejle on loan until 30 June 2021, with an option to buy.
Then, on July 4, 2021, Krasnodar announced that Vejle bought the rights to Onugkha.
