OPEC maintains the global forecasts of the application for oil for 2025, 2026

The organization of oil exports (OPEC) exports announced on Wednesday that will maintain its previous forecasts for the global growth of oil demand in 2025 and 2026.

In its monthly report on the oil market, OPEC has provided for an increase of 1.3 million barrels per day (BPD) both in 2025 and in 2026, unchanged by the estimates of last month.

“The total world oil demand is expected on average 105 million BPDs in 2025, supported by a strong demand for air travel, a robust road mobility and continuous activity in the industrial, construction and agricultural sectors,” says the report.

OPEC also observed that the increase in ability and healthy petrochemical margins in non -OECD countries (organization for cooperation and economic development) would have to guide a further growth in the application for oil.

Despite the constant global economic trends, the OPEC has slightly reduced the forecasts for global economic growth for 2025 of 0.1 percentages to 2.9 percent, citing recent developments relating to rates.

The forecasts for 2026 remained unchanged at 3.1 percent.
