Orbih threatened to arrest the member of the PDP Edo guard committee appointed by Obaseki

Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Party (PDP) in the south-south, the head and orbih, have threatened to arrest individuals disguised as members of the Party Care Committee in the state of Edo.

Former Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, inaugurated the guard committee for PDP in the state before leaving last year’s office.

He appointed Tony Aziegbemi, a former head of the state, as the head of the committee of 10 members, with Henry Duke Tenebe as secretary.

Other committee members are Chris Nehikhare, Publicity Secretary, Harrison Omagbon, Fidel Igenegbale, Tony Anenih JNR, Archbishop Anthony Okosun, Segun Saiki, Adezat Cuburate Ibrahim and Augustine Edosomwan.

Orbih says: “If they continue, we will stop them. When you are not a soldier but wearing a uniform and calling yourself one, it is imitation.

“The law is clear, and must take the way because these people are not part of the Edo PDP guard committee.”

He stressed that members of the guard committee did not have constitutional support in the party and had to refrain from their activities to avoid legal consequences.

Orbih also criticized Obaseki for leaving the party with chaos.

He convinced party members that efforts were ongoing to rebuild and strengthen PDP with leaders who were dedicated in the state.

“Those who are responsible for the destruction of the party under the former governor should not be seen as members of the Edo PDP guard committee,” he added.

He also thanked the party leaders who traveled to Calabar, Cross River, for the South Zonal Congress on February 20, where he was re -elected.

PDP Secretary, Hillary Otsu, acknowledged the current party chaos, stating that rebuilding efforts were needed.
