Osun: APC rejects the adc plot claim to manipulate polls through voter registration

The Osun State Chapter from the Congress of All Progressive (APC) has denied the accusation by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that he tried to manipulate the Election of the Governor 2026 through the ongoing Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

The Independent National Election Commission (Inec) began the CVR training on August 18, 2025, with online registration, while physical registration began a week later on August 25 in the Inec offices throughout the state.

In a statement issued on Saturday by the Director of the Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, APC described ADC claims as baseless and politically motivated. The party believes that the opposition increases fake alarm for fear of election defeat.

“ADC accuses APC states of masterminding and perfecting the upcoming governor elections that will come through the ongoing voter registration exercise,” the statement said. “We understand their situation. This baseless accusation is borne for fear of loss that will occur.”

APC subsequently rejects ADC as “the party being transferred internally” who is looking for reasons to include poor performance in places anticipated in the polling station. This urges the community to ignore these accusations, characterizing them as fabrication designed to generate controversy.

The ruling party states that there is no need for RIG to win the election, claiming it remains a dominant force in osun politics and continues to attract defeats from rival parties.

The statement also refused ADC protest over voter registration, insisting that such actions would not prevent APC supporters from participating fully in training. “There are no laws that prohibit the mobilization of people for voter registration,” he added.

Encourage its members and supporters to register and get their permanent voter card (PVC), APC said ADC accusations are the same as recognition of weaknesses and failures.
