Otunba Awotunde prioritisation of workers’ welfare: A renewed focus on Ifelodun Local Government Ikirun

In a significant development for the Ifelodun Local Government Ikirun, Chairman Otunba Awotunde Sarafadeen Abiodun has undertaken a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of workers within the council area.

This proactive move comes in the wake of the unfortunate vandalism that occurred some years ago when hoodlums took advantage of the End-SARS protest to wreak havoc on the Secretariat complex, leaving it in a state of disrepair.

Otunba Awotunde demonstrated strong leadership by promptly ordering the clearing of the overgrown surroundings and the procurement of quality furniture for the staff and political functionaries, aiming to restore the dignity of the workplace.

In a recent development, Comrade Ojo Abiodun Gboyega, the Head of Local Government Administration for Ifelodun Local Government Ikirun, led the Council boss on an on-the-spot assessment of the extent of the complex’s deterioration. This act underscores the seriousness with which Otunba Awotunde views the revitalization of the Secretariat complex.

Furthermore, Otunba Awotunde has made a commitment to reactivate the poultry pen located within the complex, initiate a repainting project for the entire building, and embark on the construction of a state-of-the-art shopping complex in the near future.
