The former Arsenal and Liverpool star, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, has left Besiktas after the Turkish giants finished their contract.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined the Istanbul headquarters in 2023 after his contract expired with the Merseyside Club.
His arrival with Besiktas was initially seen as a coup d’etat, but a succession of injuries wreaked havoc in his time in the club.
Besiktas has destroyed the midfielder’s contract, which means that Oxlade-Chamberlain is now a free agent, says Talksport.
A report states that the Turkish club has paid the whopping of £ 1.2 million to release it from its agreement that equated a younger amount than if the club has paid the rest of its salaries.
Oxlade-Chamberlain had only 12 months to run with his contract, but he had few possibilities to change his fortune under the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
During his time at Arsenal, Oxlade-Chamberlain won the FA Cup and the community shield.
After joining Liverpool of the Gunners, he won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
