Oyo government demolishes building housing illegal fuel traders

The Oyo State Government on Thursday demolished all buildings housing illegal diesel marketers along the Ibadan-Lagos expressway.

The state Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, led his ministry officials to conduct the exercise.

He warned those involved in the act to stop.

Mogbonjubola condemned the continued sale of fake diesel products at unlicensed locations along the highway.

He condemned the indifferent attitude of illegal marketers despite being reminded several times about the state government’s position on the illegal business.

He said: “We have visited this place several times to warn you about the need to stop the illegal trade of products along this route, but you refused.

“From now on, illegal diesel trading activities in this corridor must be stopped, otherwise, those who violate will face the law.”
