Former Governor of the State Ekiti, Ayo Fayose, has rejected the opportunity for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2027 General Election.
Fayose spoke in the television program Channels, Politics Today, on Friday.
He stated that the former ruling party would finish in the fourth place in the next presidential election.
The former governor showed that the internal crisis of the party and the alienation of the old members had reduced his capacity to install strong performance in the election.
He regretted that PDP is now the shadow of his old one because
“Acts of disrespect and recurrent sabotage against loyal members” by party leaders.
Fayose supports the G5 (Integrity Group) who works against PDP in the 2023 election.

Members of the group are Nyesom Wike, now the Minister of Federal Capital Region (FCT), the trio of former Governor Samuel Ortom (Benue), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), and Governor Seyi Makinde from Oyo State.
He said: “This is my prayer so that PDP will be in fourth place. Today, I tell you that PDP will be in fourth in the general election.
“In most states, they have been compromised. They have relieved so many leaders. This is good for them, but let me remind you, I am part of the G5.
. “I have paid my contributions at PDP. You cannot continue to match a man like me. I don’t have friends at PDP. I came to PDP alone.
“How will a party weaken you-a governor of two times has done everything humanely to be maintained, and they damage you-I have to clap for them? Forget it.
“Baking with PDP today is quite embarrassing. This party is too weak to take something lately. PDP is not a problem for now. With more prayers, PDP will end in fourth position.”
