Petition Natasha accused Akpabio of managing the smear campaign, IGP petition

Senator, who represented Kogi Central in the National Assembly, Natasha Akpoti-Uuduaghan, had proposed a petition to the Police Inspector General, Kayode Egbetokun for the alleged campaign that was well coordinated to mock him, endanger his safety, and silenced his vote by the President of the Senate Godwill Akpabio.

In the petition submitted on May 15 through his legal counsel, Dr. Ehiogie West-Idahosa (San), Senator claimed that he had experienced a sustainable campaign about “Criminal Swapping, Cyberstalking, Conspiracy, and Experiments of Murder.”

The campaign, he said, began shortly after he openly accused the President of the Senate Sexual harassment during a television interview on February 28.

Akpoti-Uduaghan, which was controversially suspended from the Senate in March, stated that the smear campaign increased after its suspension.

He wrote: “What began as a digital show support by Facebook’s personality who called himself ‘Prof. Mgbeke’ quickly turned into hostile when I refused to be involved in all forms of backdoor negotiations.”

Facebook’s personality was later identified as Dr. Sandra Chidinma Duru, a Nigerian who lives in Texas.

According to Senator, not until the live broadcast was aired on May 1, he knew Duru’s original identity, an event that he described was very troubling.

During the broadcast, Duru allegedly displayed his telephone screen, revealed the name of the contact like “Senator Akpabio,” “IGP Kayode,” “My Daddy Directline,” and “Oby Ndukwe.”

The Akpoti-Uuduaghan legal team refers to these names as proof of a larger network and is politically connected to work to discredit and endanger it.

“This is not just a coincidence. The names suggest efforts to be coordinated with the possibility of individual involvement or knowledge at the highest level of the government and security institutions,” he said.

Senator also accused Monday Ubani, a senior Nigerian advocate and a legislative aide to the Akpabio Senator, gave a secret approval for a campaign by supporting a public broadcast, which was widely criticized for their inflammatory content.
