Police Arrest 3 Alleged Armed Robbers in Anambra

Police operations in Anambra have arrested three alleged armed robbers and found two vehicles in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, revealed this in a statement on Monday at Awka.

He said the operators attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu, arrested the suspects in the agukwu-nri, the territory of the State Anocha Regional Government on May 30.

According to him, the suspects were arrested based on information obtained from armed robbery suspects in police custody.

The spokesman added that the suspects were aged between 27 and 32.

The items recovered from them are the White Car Mercedes Benz C300 4-Matic with registration number: Delta KWC 140 Tx; Lexus 350 ash with registration number: 669 CY; Two exotic mobile phones and pump pistols.

“The police have expanded the investigation and worked seriously to arrest other gang members in general.

“We ask the public to provide credible information that will help us in combating crime and crime in the state.

“This development highlighted the proactive approach to the order to fight all forms of crime in the state,” said Ikenga.
