Police arrest Note Kingpin Rapi, five more in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command arrested a well -known bossing of the kidnapping and five other suspicions during incursions on criminal hiding places in the areas of the local government of AWE.

The police spokesman, SP Raman Nansel, confirmed in a Sunday declaration that Kingpin was captured in the Doka forest by the agents of the Doma Division after escaping an arrest for a short time in July 2023.

According to Nansel, the suspicion, of the village of Yelwa, had been connected to several kidnappings and robberies throughout the area. He tried to attack the officers with a knife before being submissive.

A subsequent search for his hiding place in the village of Alagye led to the recovery of a rifle with pump action, an AK-47 made locally with magazine, ammunition, uniform of civil defense and other objects.

In a related operation, the staff of the AWE division arrested five members of a bang of kidnapping of 10 men in Gidan who takes the village.

The investigations revealed that the group was behind the kidnapping of the John blessing by Gidan Makaranta, as well as her husband, John Ada-Kuje, in April 2024. The weapons including two AK-47 buns locally were recovered by the suspicions.

The police commissioner, Shetima Jauro-Mohammed, praised officers for their professionalism and urged them to support the pressure on the criminals until the state is free from kidnappers and armed thieves.

The suspicions were transferred to the anti-kidnapping unit for further investigations and criminal actions.
