Police arrested 2 armed robbery suspects in Lagos

Police operations in Lagos have arrested two armed robbers suspects who terrorized residents around Shoprite Ikeja and Maryland’s axis in the state.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.

He said the suspects aged 24 and 32, who were part of the gangs of three people operating on motorbikes, were arrested while seizing residents who were not suspicious of their valuables.

“The police responded to a tribal call on September 29 at around 19:15, which caused the arrest of two gang members, while the third suspect escaped.

“The operational motorcycle used by the gang was found as an exhibition.

“Initial investigations revealed that the gang of three people came from the mushin area in the state to carry out their criminal activities in Ikeja, before luck running on them.

“Efforts to arrest the third suspect are now in general,” the spokesman added.
