The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 25 -year -old driver, Ayomide Oluwadamilare, for the alleged killing of his former employer, Kola Adun, in the state.
Command spokesman, Omolola Odutola, said in a statement on Tuesday that the suspect was arrested while trying to sell Toyota Camry from the deceased in the Ijede Ikorodu area, Lagos.
He said the residents of River Valley Estate at Ojodu Berger, told the police about the foul odor that came out of the victim’s apartment.
Odutola said: “Around 1300 hours on July 7, 2025, Division Police officers, Ojodu Division Abiodun, received a tribal call from the Mubarak area in Akute regarding the offensive odor of a building.
“Officers continue to Ogunmoyero Street, River Valley Estate, and after forceing to enter the place, finding a decayed corpse from a Mr. Kola Adun on the first floor.

“The body is tiring a stab wound that is seen with blood stains found at the scene.
“Suspicion was raised the day before, when a friend who was supposed to choose Adun for Sunday services found the gate locked from the outside and could not contact him on the phone.
“His cellphone then left, pushing a friend to remind the families of the victims and police.
“Initial investigations revealed that Oluwadamilare, a former driver of the deceased, allegedly entered the residence on Saturday, and stabbed it to death before escaping with his Toyota Camry with the 193 GC AAA registration number.”
