The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 50 -year -old man identified as Umar Alhahi Sule, for allegedly raping and impregnating his 17 -year -old daughter.
State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Ahmed Mohammed Deputy, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Friday, said Sule, a resident of Kurmin Ado Village in the Ganjuwa Regional Government area in the state, was arrested on April 3 after a report submitted at the Tajatu Police Certificate by a Mark Headquarter by a division division.
In the statement, the police spokesman said:

“After receiving the report, the certified detective team certified was assigned to conduct a wise investigation and arrest the defendant.
“During the interrogation, the defendant voluntarily recognized his mistake and added that he had persecuted several times on different occasions, which caused his pregnancy for three months, according to an examination report obtained from a medical practitioner.
“When interviewing the victim, he strengthened the suspect’s statement, added that the incident occurred when his mother traveled to visit his parents in the village of Burra through Ningi Lga, the state of Bauchi, which was taken by his father and had sexual relations with him.
“After that, upon his mother’s return, he watched the victim of pregnant and questioned him who was responsible for it. The victim revealed that it was his biological father.
“Police Commissioner Bauchi State Command CP Sani-omolori Aliyu PSC (+), MNI, has directed that the case was sued in court after the investigation was completed,” he said.
