The Niger State Police Command has arrested a suspected kidnapper, Mohammed Rabiu, in Barkin-Sale, Minna, and arrested two other people for the alleged conspiracy to hold an independent person.
Rabiu, who came from Lambata in the Gurara Regional Government area, was taken after a direct complaint submitted at the KPakungu Division Police Station. The police investigation revealed that he was suspected of being part of the gang that invaded Dagwi’s village near Beji in 2023, kidnapped a 10 -year -old boy.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Wasiu Abiodun, the gang collects ₦ 300,000 cash, an energy beverage carton, cigarette package, various kinds of food, and recharged cards before releasing their victims.
Nemesis followed Rabiu on Saturday, August 2, when the boy’s father saw and identified him in the sale of Barkin. “The suspect admitted crime during the interrogation and named his accomplice as Mahmuda, Aminu, Ibrahim, Yellow, Muazu, and Lago,” Abiodun said.
Rabiu further claimed to kill a farmer in 2023 and revealed that their victims were usually taken to the Washa forest through Beji for further decisions.
In a separate incident, the police found a strange plot involving self -supporting. On Monday, August 4, the Maje Division received a report from a woman who claimed his 18 -year -old son, Moses Amarks, a student of the College of Health, Kwamba Suleja, had been kidnapped. The kidnapper accusation demands ₦ 50 million for his release.

The initial investigation caused the arrest of Emmanuel Moses, 22, from Gidan-Mangoro, Karshi, the last Abuja who was seen with Amarks. Acting based on intelligence, officers tracked victims who were supposed to go to Zuba Motor Park, Abuja, and rescued him around 4 am the next day.
The police said Amarks claimed to conspire with Emmanuel to falsify his own abduction in an effort to squeeze money from his mother. They were reportedly hiding in the village of Karji, Sabon-Tasha, the state of Kaduna for six days, assisted by the brother of Amarks, Jetro, who provided accommodation.
“When a ransom failed to materialize, AMARKS reappeared from Kaduna but was arrested by the police,” PPRO said, adding that efforts were ongoing to track and capture Jetro.
