Police rescue 10 people kidnapped in Kaduna

Police officers in Kaduna have rescued 10 people kidnapped in the state.

State police command spokesman, Mansir Hassan, confirmed the rescue in a statement on Friday in Kaduna.

Hasan said. “In May, unidentified gunmen numbering about fourteen (14) invaded Kushe Makaranta in Kagarko Local Government Area and kidnapped several residents, whom they took to their hideout in the dense forest around Rijana community.

“Following the receipt of this unfortunate information, the command immediately intensified patrols and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.

“Constant pressure from the police, military and DSS agents forced the kidnappers to abandon the victims and flee from their hideout.

“On Tuesday at around 7pm, police officers managed to rescue the kidnap victims, saying that all the victims were from Kushe Makaranta, Kagarko LGA.

“The victims were immediately taken to the Police Clinic to receive medical assistance, and after two days of observation and treatment, they were successfully reunited with their families.”
