Police operations in Nasarawa have saved two students who were kidnapped from the University of Federal Lafia (Fulafia).
The students were kidnapped on March 30.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Ramhan Nankel, revealed this in a statement issued on Tuesday at the Lafia.
He said the order received a difficult call on March 30 that the student cottage was attacked at 21:20, and two students were kidnapped.
The spokesman said: “On March 30, around 9:20 pm, we received a tribal call to the attack at the Student Pondok behind Nasara Estate, Budun Kauri, Lafia.
“During the attack, two students from the University of Federal, Lafia, Sadiq Adinoyi and Sakina Adinoyi, were kidnapped.
“Acting quickly in the direction of Shethima Jauro-Mohammed, Police Commissioner, Operators from the Anti-Children and ‘A’ Division, Lafia, mobilized to track the perpetrators.

“Following technical intelligence, the rescue team found that the victims were detained in the forest behind 500 housing units along Doma Road.
“The team involved them in a weapon duel in the forest, and the police shot flooded them, and they fled in a different direction and left the victims, who were saved safely.”
He added that a suspect, Ibrahim Musa from Abuni Village, the area of the regional government who was amazed in the state, was arrested at the scene.
He said the suspect had made a useful recognition and helped the ongoing investigation.
