Pope Francis made an unscheduled apparition in the square of San Pietro on Sunday 6 April 2925 despite the current health problems that prevented him from public events since mid -February.
Wearing a nasal cannula for additional oxygen, the 88 -year -old arrived in a wheelchair while the mass for the jubilee of the sick and health operators ended.
He waved the crowd and headed for the altar, where he offered a short message: “Happy Sunday. Thanks everyone!”
After the final blessing, Francis returned to his residence.
The Pope, who generally offers a weekly noon prayer in Piazza di San Pietro, has not been able to perform this duty since 9 February 2025.
