Akpoti-Auduaghan, the suspended senator representing the central senatorial district of Kogi, accused the president of the Senate Godswill Akpabio and the former governor of the state of Kogi Yahaya beautiful to conspire to kill her.
Chidolo made the call in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
His reaction was in response to the Facebook post of the suspended senator, in which he fired a live viral broadcast of Facebook 1 May from a dr. Sandra Duru (also known as Prof. Mgbeke).
Akpoti-Unduaghan had described the live broadcast which presented audio and screenshot recordings that seemed to contradict his public denials on various issues such as “manipulated” and “politically motivated”.
However, Chidolo said that the senator did not present facts or evidence to defend himself.
According to him, his post did not offer facts, no forensic and certainly no credibility.
“What offers, unfortunately, is a continuation of a now familiar model; sensational accusations, quickly recycled in conspiracy statements once faced with uncomfortable evidence.”
Chidolo added that if the materials presented by Duru were authentic, they paint a worrying picture of a public official who wears accusations not demonstrated for political mileage.
He listed the statements of Akpoti-Auduaghan who had not been supported by verifiable tests to include accusations of sexual harassment by the President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio, as well as according to which the former governor of Kogi, Yahaya Bello, was contracted to assassinate the assassin.
Others claimed to be accusations that Akpabios were involved in the death of 2021 of a minor, states that his reassignment on the Senate’s floor was a punishment for having rejected the progress among others.
“None of these statements has been proven by a police relationship, oath oath, senate resolution or authenticated document.
“In the face of contradictory tests, the senator’s response was predictable; attack the source, reject the test and move the poles,” said Chidolo.
He then asked for a four -phase action course to restore credibility.
According to him, Akpoti-Auduaghan should authenticate or refute Duru’s recordings through an independent forensic laboratory, publicly.
“He should also present evidence, police relationships, judicial statements, registers of the Senate in support of any request or seeking a legal appeal if defamed.”
He added that by failing everything else, he should offer public excuses and leave the Senate seat.
“Let it clearly say that Nigeria’s public institutions are not theaters for the trial process.
“When elected leaders make explosive statements, they owe public facts, not theatricals. Nigerians deserve better than conjectures and drama.
“The time for the narration has expired. The burden is now her; test or exit,” said Chidolo.
