President Nbbf Engr. Musa Kida to receive prestigious Wakawaka Sports Award in Owerri

The president of Nigeria Basketball Federation (Nbbff), an engineer Musa Kida, will be honored this evening with the prestigious Wakawaka Sports Award at the City Cruz Hotel, Owerri, one of the main hospitality offices of the city.

Engr. Kida had a remarkable impact on the development of basketball in Nigeria. Under his guide, the Nigeria national teams have achieved historical goals, including the qualification for the Fiba Female World Cup and the guarantee of multiple Afrobasket titles in record time for male and female teams.

As President of the River State Basketball Association, Kida played a fundamental role in transforming basketball into a basic and national level. Its exceptional contribution to the development of sport is further reflected in its recent appointment as president of the Nigker Nigoleum Corporation (NNPC) Nigerian by the Federal Government, a strategic position that further expects to increase the development of sport in Nigeria.
