President Tinubu starts Lagos to mark the 50th anniversary of Ecowas, Commission projects – Thage

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja Tuesday for the celebration of Lagos, together with other leaders, the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of States of West Africa (Ecowas).

The EcoWas Golden Jubilee was reported to Accra last month.

The Lagos events will include the re -enactment of the 1975 declaration at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Victoria Island.

At the Eko Hotels and Suites event, President Tinubu, president of Ecowas, will highlight the milestones of the economic blockage.

The president of the Niia and the former Minister of External Affairs, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, will examine the 50 -year journey of the blockade, which the Ni’s panels will analyze later.

The only surviving head of state that has signed the Ecowas declaration, General Yakubu Gowon (RTD), will participate in all ceremonies and will hold a speech at the Eko Hotels.

Dr. Omar Touray, president of the Ecowas commission, will hold the welcome speech.

While in Lagos, the president Tinubu, Saturday 31 May, will commission some projects of the Administration.

Among these are section I of the Lagos-Calabar coastal motorway, the tax credit on the port of the port of Lekki Deep Port, the Flag of Section II of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the 7th Axial Road.

The president will virtually commission Kano-Kanwar-Danja-Hadejiya Section II Road and Yakasai-Zalli Road and report the by-pass by Kano Northern, Zaria-Hunkuyi-Dobai Section I, Dabai-Kafur Malumfashi and Malumfashi-Yayi-Gidan Mutum III.

President Tinubu will observe the prayers of Eid-El-Kabir at the State House, Dodan Barracks, before returning to Abuja.
