Prof. Chima J. Korih has appointed traditional Prime Minister of the Kingdom Umucieze

His real height, Eze (Dr) Enyeribe Onuoha (Eze Udo I) of the Kingdom Umuchieze has appointed Chief (Professor) Chima Jacob Korih as traditional Prime Minister (Onowu) of the autonomous community humukind to Ahizu Mbaise, state of imo. The appointment entered into force on July 21, 2025 and was formally announced during the monthly meeting of theze-in-council held on July 26, 2025.

Professor Korih, who holds the traditional Kpakpando and Okenku titles, brings over two decades of experience in the role, having served for 22 years as a member of the AEX-INCUNCIL in the court of his real height. His elevation to the Ontowu position follows his appointment of 2023 as head of the cabinet that represents the Umbudionu clan in the Eze cabinet.

In his new role, Professor Korih will be responsible for receiving visitors and official dignitaries, who represent Eze in his absence and participate in meetings and official functions on behalf of the throne. His appointment underlines a tradition of trust and a long -standing service to the kingdom.

Speaking after his appointment, Professor Korih expressed gratitude to the monarch for the trust placed in him. He has undertaken to use the position to further raise the kingdom to humk and promote his heritage and cultural development.

The ceremony, marked by traditional rites and a show of royal camaraoticism, participated members of the royal court, leader of the community and supporters.
