Public Relations of the Army: Magg. Gen. Nwachukwu bows, the lieutenant with the yearning takes over as interim director

Abuja (basic reporter) The major General Onyema Nwachukwu, bowed as director of the Army Public Relations, while Lieutenant Colonel Onyinyechi APPOLONIA ANLE, the pioneer female director of the Army Public Relations (APR), although in acting capacity he took command Tuesday. This has marked a significant milestone in the efforts of the Nigerian army to promote diversity and gender inclusion.

In a short but symbolic ceremony, which was held on Tuesday 22 April 2025, at the headquarters of the Army, Abuja, Lieutenant Colonel Alele took the place of the immediate April, the largest gen. Nwachukwu, which has been reduced to the inheritance of the Nigerian army and the center, Abuja.

Speaking during the delivery and shooting ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Onyechi Alele expressed gratitude to the head of the Army staff (Coas), the lieutenant general Olufemi Oluyede for the opportunity to serve as the spokesman for the army. He has ensured the leadership of the army that will justify his confidence that can be gratified in her remaining loyal, committed, concentrated and downloading her duties more promptly and professionally.

The director of acting paid tribute to his predecessor, recognizing his passion, resilience and professionalism, which have thrown a solid base for the direction and improved the image and strategic communication of the Nigerian army.

A declaration of the management of the head of the staff of the Army Public Relations, the lieutenant with the Sebastine Takwa, states that Alele enhanced the vital role of the defense correspondents in reporting military activities and the Nigerian institute of public relations and other strategic partners in the professionalization of public communications in the country and their continuous support for the Nigerian army.

In his invitation to action, the acting apr asked for continuous support to the Nigerian army while working tirelessly, in collaboration with other twin security agencies to safeguard the peace, unity and sovereignty of the nation. He has committed himself to continuing to tell the story of the Nigerian army through actions that reflect the honor, sacrifice and service to the nation.

In his observations of Valenza, the immediate past director, Nwachukwu, has highlighted the modest results of the Management under his administration that have positioned the management to respond quickly and professionally to the operational and non -operational challenges. He noticed some results to include the facilitation of local and international training specialized for officials and soldiers, exposing them to the best global practices in strategic communication, crisis messaging, digital media war and media analysis.

He said that these steps significantly improved the scope of the media, the commitment and public perception of the Nigerian army. He added that the voice of the Nigerian army now resounds strong and clear both inside and beyond the borders of the country.

He expressed gratitude for the Coasses, the lieutenant general Olufemi Oluyede Nam, for the opportunity to serve in the ability of the D APR. He also thanked officers and soldiers of the management for their dedication and loyalty, who laid the foundations for a solid institutional inheritance. He invited the director arriving to continue building on the already posed Foundation and to bring the direction to even higher heights.

The event was marked by the signature of the delivery and the socket on the occasion of the notes, the presentation of the command flag and the decoration of the interim director with the signs of the management of the Army Public Relations. At the hiring of the command ceremony, he was attended by high officials, deputy director of the DAPR, deputy director of acting and deputy directors from the inside and outside the territory of the federal capital.

Lieutenant Colonel Alele Apolonia, a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (Nipr), previously had been an official of public relations with the former head of the army staff. Until his last appointment, he served at the Department of Civil-Militarian Relations, the Defense headquarters.
