A group under the auspices of Ahmed Consultative Forum in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi, invited the Nigerian Senate to reconsider the suspension of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Auduaghan who represents Kogi Central, to allow his curriculum of legislative responsibility in the interest of its components.
The forum coordinator, Hon. Idris Anako, made the call in a statement released to Lokoja journalists on Wednesday.
According to him, the recent events surrounding Senator Akpoti-Auduaghan and Senator Godwin Akpabio raised significant concerns that have requested immediate attention.
“It is discouraging to see the leaders of this stature involved in disputes, leading to a suspension that many believe do not reflect a fair and right process, above all considering its implications for the geopolitical community of Egbira.
“Senator Natasha Akpoti embodies the aspirations of our nation and the people of Egbira. Her commendable contribution to both physical and human development is a testimony of her leadership and dedication.
“Her successes distinguishes her from her peers and improve the representation of the community of Egbira on a large scale”
“We must give priority to the constructive dialogue on political intrigues, guaranteeing progress for everyone for the overall interest of the nation,” said the declaration.
