Remo Stars won a Historical NPFL title

Remo Star has secured the title 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after a 1-0 victory over Tornado Niger at Ikenne on Sunday.

Olamilekan Adedayo scored a decisive goal for Daniel Ogunmodede’s team for only six minutes from the end.

The Sky Blue Stars is now sitting on the table with 68 points from 35 matches, holding a 10 -point advantage above Rivers United who is in second place, which also plays 35 matches.

Triumph marks Remo starring as the first private club to win the NPFL title since Udoji United, who has now reached achievements in 1996.

They also became the first team from the southwest of Nigeria to lift the trophy since the Julius Berger Team that was dissolved did it in 2000.

With the title secured, Remo Stars will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next season.
