Rep Nawis: Nawis praises the role of supervision of NSC while Yusuf-Olukoju wins the elections on the AFN Board of Directors
Abuja (basic reporter) The National Association of Women in Sports (Nawis) praised the leadership role of the National Sports Commission (NSC) following the election of the former Nigerian athlete, Fatima Yusuf- Olukoju as Nawis representative on the board of directors of the Nigera Federation of Nigera, AFN.
After the conduct of the Nawis elections that took place in Abuja on Monday, the general manager of the NSC, the Hon. Bukola Olopade, held a reconciliation meeting with the association and the main competitors in the polls, Fatima Yusuf-Olukoju and the veteran sports journalist Nneka Anibeze to iron the gray areas that must be born from the result of the elections.
The elections conducted by Nawis saw Yusuf-Olukoju beat anibaze in the polls, but both have now decided to forge a common front and work together for the overall interest of the girl and women empowerment in the Nigerian sports.
A happy Fatima Yusuf-Olukoju declared after the meeting, which is overwhelmed by the type of detailed attention that the current NSC leadership is giving to Nigerian and Nawis sports is very proud of the current reinguishering ongoing on Nigerian sports.

Nneka Anibeze for his part also praised the role that the general manager of the NSC played for post-electoral tensions in order not to intensify.
