The House of Representatives on Friday decided to investigate the appointment of the Director General of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), Prof Martins Ike-Muonso.
The lower house will also explore the appointment of Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) Dr Mathew Adepoju.
This was disclosed by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Science Research Committee, Olaide Akinremi in a statement, Friday in Abuja.
Therefore, the House of Representatives has constituted a six-member panel headed by Hon. Abiodun Akinlade to carry out investigations.
Akinremi said Ike-Muonso and Adepoju were recently appointed by the Minister of Science and Technology Innovation, Chief Uche Nnanji.

The chairman said: “The panel will look at the appointment qualification procedures and compliance with relevant laws and regulations set by the two agencies.
“This panel will invite, among others, the Minister of Science and Technology Innovation, the Secretary to the Federal Government, the Heads of Services, and the two DGs.
“The panel has two weeks to submit its report.”
