The House of Representatives directed the general accounting of the Federation, Shamseldeen Ogunjimi, to provide a detailed breakdown of payments made to the N2.4 trilioni contractors recently issued by the Federal Government for the execution of the project at national level.
The directive followed confirmation from the general accounting office that the sum had already been approved for the disbursement.
Vice -president Benjamin Kalu revealed him after a meeting with the association of indigenous contractors of Nigeria in Abuja.
The session came in the wake of previous protests for delayed payments, which involved a partial agreement of 25 % in September.
The Chamber also warned the contractors to guarantee the authenticity of the projects carried out, underlining that payments for incomplete or fictitious works would not be tolerated.

The speaker outlined the tax challenges of Africa, including the growing debt, the widespread poverty and illegal financial flows that drain billions of dollars every year.
He reaffirmed the support for the policy of President Bola Tinubu of strategic and responsible loans, underlining that loans must be linked to infrastructure, growth and reduction of poverty in a transparent and sustainable way.
Abbas also urged African parliaments to adopt artificial intelligence and digital tools to modernize supervision, detect irregularities and expand citizens’ access to budget data.
The president of the Government Council An-Pbo, Prof. Dumisani Jantjies, said that the network was established to strengthen supervision through non-partisan tax analysis.
He observed that Nabro della Nigeria was already demonstrating its value, but he warned that inflation and poverty remain urgent challenges.
