A deferred Rivers State Council Assembly member who was loyal to the former governor of Nyesom Wike, reportedly had started a British tour in front of when their suspension would be appointed.
The suspended DPR speaker, Martins Amaewhule, who revealed this in a statement issued on Saturday by the Assistant, especially in the media, Martins Wachukwu, confirmed that parliament members left the country’s coast on Friday.
The statement stated that Amaewhule, who led the delegation, said he opened the 10th Legislative Tour of the River Assembly in the UK on Friday.
Wachukwu noted that the Legislative Tour “will allow the DPR to learn new things outside Nigeria Beach, which will increase the capacity of members for the tasks in front.”

According to the statement, the opening ceremony which was the first day of the five -day tour, took place in the Central London and focused on “Legislative Dynamics in the Presidential and Parliamentary System.”
The statement said the legislative tour carries three total capacity building programs organized by the DPR’s leadership without funds from the government.
“These programs including this tour are 100 percent sponsored by the leaders of the country concerned, who continue to support the DPR even though there are no prolonged, provocative, and non-constitutional DPR funds by a suspended governor, Siminaye Fubara,” the statement said.
“In this case, the DPR uses the opening ceremony the opportunity to express his great gratitude to the political leader of the State of Rivers, Nyesom Wike and other political leaders under the umbrella of the Rivers State Elder Council who continue to support them. The 10th members of the Assembly prayed for many God’s blessings for their lives and efforts.”
