The absence of Sahara reporters on Wednesday stopped the indictment of its publisher, Omoyle Sowore, for alleged falsification at the Federal High Court, Abuja.
Sowore and Sahara reporters were charged with police on charges of three counterfeiting counts, defamation, and alleged incitement for the rebellion.
The accusation was related to a series of reports published to Sahara reporters about the alleged police promotion scandal and activist participation in protests by retired police officers who demanded pension reform.
However, judge Emeka Nwite was told that the second defendant had not been served by a court call when the problem was called on Wednesday.

The prosecutor told the judge that efforts to serve the second defendant in a replaced manner, by publishing a call, succeeded.
Judge Nwite consequently delayed this problem until 15 September for the indictment.

“That you Omoyle Sowore and Sahara Journalists in or around July 30, 2025, in this court jurisdiction conspiring between yourself to commit crimes for intelligence: forgery, and thus commit violations that can be convicted based on Article 1 (2) (c) Acts of violations that are in conflict with CAP M17 Law -Federation laws from levels.
