Sallah: Dg Noa urges tolerance, environmental awareness

Abuja (basic reporter) to commemorate the celebration of Eid-El-Adha Sallah, general manager of the National Orientation Agency (Noa), Mallam Lanre Issa-Sylilu, has extended hot greetings of the Sallah to the Muslim faithful, exhorting all the Nigerians to embody the values ​​of tolerance and environmental face.

Onilu has described tolerance as a fundamental value that Nigerians should support, noting that embracing diversity and promoting understanding is the key to building a harmonious society in which citizens live in peace and mutual respect, in particular in a different nation such as Nigeria.

He said, tolerance acts as a catalyst for national growth, which allows the nation to draw on the collective potential of its different population and therefore unlock unprecedented progress and prosperity.

The DG also underlined the critical importance of environmental awareness, exhorting the Nigerians to give priority to sustainable life, the management of responsible resources and the climatic action to safeguard the ecosystems of the nation and guarantee a livable future for generations to come.

“While celebrating this sacred opportunity, we recognize our responsibility towards the environment and undertake collective actions to protect it, in particular in the face of challenges such as floods that influenced the Mokwa community in the state of the Niger. We work together to prevent floods, protect our communities and promote sustainable practices that guarantee a safer and resistant future for everyone”, he added.

By highlighting the agency’s efforts in promoting the fundamental Nigerian values, the DG has declared that Noa developed the Charter of national values, which forges a mutual commitment between leaders and citizens, with tolerance and environmental awareness being full components of the citizens’ codes.

Speaking further, the Muslim faithful to reflect the spirit of the celebration of Sallah in promoting peace, tolerance and relief in their communities and to let the compassion values ​​and forgive the interactions with others.
