Senator Baasey supports Akwa-Ibom, looking for the goods of the members of the Chinese government
Abuja (basic journalists) driven by his passion to bring dividends of democracy and attract development to his voters, senator Aniekan Bassey who represented Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District, in the tenth Senate he had to pay his state, supporting his state, supporting his intervention of the Chinese government to improve the lot of his members dimensions.
To this end, on Friday, Senator Bassey visited the Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, his excellence to which Jianchun, as part of the continuous efforts to strengthen bilateral relationships for the benefit of its components and the state in general.
During the meeting held at the Chinese embassy in Abuja, Senator Bassey praised the long -standing collaboration between the government of the People’s Republic of China and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The senator of the north-eastern senatorial district of the Eastern Kwa Ibom has praised the investments of the Chinese government in infrastructure, technology, agriculture and development of skills across the country.
Senator Bassey used the visit to support a deeper commitment and tailor -made interventions that would have directly benefited the people of the state of Akwa Ibom, in particular those within his senatorial district.
“I appreciate the cordial relationship between China and Nigeria and the enormous development footprints that you have made in our country. I believe that a similar cooperation can be extended to the state of Akwa Ibom in the agriculture, education, professional training and development of infrastructure sectors,” said Senator Bassey.
He expressed the hope that the diplomatic commitment opened the doors for future investments, programs for the exchange of knowledge and projects of sustainable development in the state, which, according to him, expand the application of the agenda of the UMO END governor.
Senator Bassey also claimed to have committed himself to positioning the Senatorial District of the north-east of Akwa Ibom for future benefits by international partnerships and to attract foreign investments and aid to development in the state.
The Chinese ambassador welcomed the senator’s proposal and said China’s readiness to expand his partnerships with subnational entities in Nigeria.
He expressed interest in collaborating with leaders who are proactive in the development of development for their people.
