At least seven people were killed when an improvisation explosive device (IED) was planted by a rebel suspect Boko Haram left along Jalan Maiduguri-Damboa in the state of Borno on Saturday.
Witnesses told reporters that the victims were passengers of vehicles on the road that was dilapidated to the Sambisa Forest.

The road that connects Maiduguri to another part of the state has become a den of Boko Haram activities in the northeast state since 2011.
Some others who were injured in the explosion are currently receiving medical attention in hospitals in the Capital of the State.
