Shettimo: I have never been denied access to the presidential villa

The spokesman for vice -president Kashim Shettimo, Stanley Nkwocha, has dispelled the news that the armed military units denied the vice president of access to the presidential villa.

In a Saturday declaration in Abuja, Nkwocha said that the publication was a story so far from reality.

According to him, this disinformation can only be entertained by those who are not familiar with the internal mechanisms of the Nigerian government.

Nkwocha, therefore, urged the public to ignore these harmful publications and advised the media to continue looking for information from credible sources and approaching sensational statements with the attention it deserves.

“This we must collectively as a nation”.

He said that in recent times, there has been a deliberate and well -planned orchestration of falsehood against the person and office of the vice -president in many multidimensional forms.

“These naughty and totally manufactured relationships are all in an attempt to cause confusion and insinuate the total clash in the presidency.

“These relationships try to mislead the public in believing that there is discord at the highest levels of government.

“The last of this series of disinformation is a relationship that says that the vice -president has been refused to entry the villa.

“This is a weak attempt to translate the person and the office of his excellence, the vice -president Kashim Shettimo. For the record, nothing of the genre has never happened.

“The recent publication of some dark blogs who claim that the armed military units have barricaded the vice -president to access the presidential villa is not only the wildest expression of thought pious desire.

“(It is) a clear indication that the suppliers of these stories have exhausted both the ink and the imagination.”

Nkwocha declared at the beginning of this week, the presidency rejected similar false news on the responsibility for the circulation of poster of the campaign that bring the images of President Bola Tinubu.

“These stories reflect a desperate attempt to undermine the president and the loyalty of his deputy to the rule of law and to our Constitution.

“Let those who push these falsehoods do it in vain.

“It is understandable, although deplorable, that the creators of Malizia continue to underestimate the strength of the bond and the goodwill between the president and the vice -president.

“However, their questionable sources or the habitual habit of disinformation have still lost them.

“These fairy tales they publish are useless as well as malice and distraction.”

He said that Shettimo remains concentrated on his duties and on support for the president in reaching the aspirations of the Nigerians.

“He does not have the luxury of the time for distractions, in particular those born from the imagination of individuals intent on creating smoke where there is no fire.

“It is not and will never take part of their media circus. It is a useless research, also for the standards of morally indifferent.”

Nkwocha praised the Nigerians in all the divisions that continue to express the goodwill towards the administration of Tinubu and who have taken responsibility for fighting the spread of false news.

“Your trust and support are deeply appreciated. The alliance between this government and the citizens of Nigeria has been made possible through a legitimate and constitutional process.

“No quantity of falsehood or tension produced can shake the foundations of that democratic mandate. Not under the watch of President Tinubu.”
