Some insiders who trace sabotage to nnpcl, medium attacks on ojilari – groups

An anti -corruption organization on the Coalition for Good Governance and Change Initiatives (CGGCI) platform in collaboration with the Association of Human Rights Writers (Huriwa) has launched alarm of alleged plot by some individuals and groups within the system to sabotage the reforms in progress and the results in the oil sector.

The groups invited the administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be alert and resist any attempt to blackmail the leadership of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

Contacting a press conference on Friday in Abuja, national coordinator of CGGCI, his partner Okpokwu Ogenyi and the president of Huriwa, his partner Emmanuel ONWubiko, said that the recent media attacks and the protest against the leadership of Dr. Bayo Ojlar of the NNPCL call concern.

“We respectfully urge his excellence, the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to remain alert and demanding as regards the motivations of those sold out of unfounded accusations and murders of character against the GMD. These blackmailed try to reverse the progress made and reinstall the people who will continue the cycles of corruption that Mr. Ojilari is diminishing.

“The choice of Mr. Bayo Ojulari by the President was based on proven skills, credibility and skills of the sector. We must not allow the deceptive lobbying to contaminate the integrity of that decision or stop the reforms that are so necessary that currently take root, since Mr. Bayo Ojular is clearly engaged in the renewed president Hope Agenda.”

According to the groups, the whole country is aware of the pervasive corruption that swallowed the Nigerian oil industry during the previous leadership. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his research to clean disorder in the oil industry has appointed Dr. Bayo Ojulari as GGMD of the NNPCL.

“However, there was a band deliberated against the president and programs oriented to the people for the country. The enemies of the country have infiltrated all the segments of the economy, with a deliberate act of sabotage the Signor president by making the key agencies blackmail

“Mr. Ojulari has started a large audit of long -date opaque contracts, in particular those involving lifting and raving infrastructure projects. This has exposed inflated costs and revenue losses, many of which are now under internal revision.

“According to his directive, the NNPC now manages a real -time reporting dashboard for critical operations, taking a better monitoring of raw production, refining activities and the distribution of fuel at national level.

“Mr. Ojulari concluded several shady agreements with unqualified intermediaries and entities of shells used to subtract national resources. This alone has spared billions in potential losses to the nation.

“For the first time for years, the informants and internal liability are actively encouraged to nnpc. Dozens of staff have been reassigned and the internal supervision units have been strengthened.

“The GMD has opened the collaboration with global institutions focused on transparency, reporting the renewed seriousness of Nigeria in cleaning the image of the oil sector.

“Despite all these and other pro-nigerian policies, some corrupt people within the system do not feel comfortable with the current reforms. We observe that some of them are in their hands with the main opposition leaders in the night to sabotage this government through the institution as NNPCL, but appear as friends of the government during the day.

“The era of long queue at the filling stanions is gone. The era of fuel scarcity is gone. The era of nigerian sleeping at fills or buying adulterated black market fuel is doing gone but these enemies of nigeria are not comfortable and they are coming as saints to cause crisis and majorly discredit President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Their Major Target, by Sponsoring Protest and Media Attacks on the Leadership of the NNPCL.

Ogenyi’s partner said that the defamation campaign must be seen as an effort of the last made by compromised forces that despair to retain the influence and illegal benefits, saying that the Nigerians will be with the reformers … “and Mr. Bayo Ojulari is clearly one of these.

“Therefore, we invoke all the patriotic Nigerians, the actors of civil society and media professionals to defend the truth, exhibit harmful intent and support the true transformation of the NNPC.

“Under this leadership, the Nigerians continue to have a reduction in the prices of oil products while the prices of the pump of the premium engine alcohol are reduced.

“We want to encourage Mr. President to continue with his reforms and not be intimidated by anyone who has tried to discredit his administration or appointed because Mr. President has blocked losses where corruption lies in the NNPCL through the credible leadership of Ojilari. We have urged the president of the president to continue to believe in the performing team through the government agencies.”
