Sources narrate how the former minister Malami and the former Rep Koko presumably imported infamous bandits to destabilize Kebbi

Sources have narrated how the alleged plot by the former general prosecutor of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (San) and Hon Muhammad Shehu Koko to destabilize the state of Kebbi.
The duo, now prominent figures of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), presumably imported infamous bandits and criminals to cause chaos in the state, just to be satisfied with strong resistance by angry residents and laws of all supporters of the congress of progress (APC).
The accident, which took place on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, exhibited the subtle tactics of Malami and Koko, revealing a sordid pact rooted in political despair and criminal collusion.
According to multiple sources, Malami and Koko, both recent APC dictors at the ADC, presumably conspired to unleash the chaos in Kebbi’s state to strengthen their nascent political relevance.
Malami, who was AGF from 2015 to 2023 under the deceased president Muhammadu Buhari, resigned from the APC on 2 July 2025 and joined the ADC, according to reports reported to the governor of Kebbi in 2027.
Koko, a former member of the Chamber of Representatives of the Federal Electoral College of Koko/Maiyama, was suspended from the APC in May 2025 together with nine others for alleged anti-play, unfair and harassment activities for the party managers.
Sources stated that the defection of the duo was fueled by their refusal by the political mainstream of Kebbi, pushing them to resort to offenders and violence to intimidate opponents and affirm the domain.
“Before Koko he made his way into politics, he was presumably known for taking bandits to terrorize rivals. Now, he has found a partner willing to Malami, who is using his legal weight to protect Koko from his process for corruption.
“Their plan was to destabilize the kebbi, to make it seem that the APC was losing control and positioning themselves as salvatori. But the people of Kebbi is wiser than that.”
The plot revealed on Monday when Malami’s convoy, presumably on a visit to condolences to the families of Birnin Kebbi, was presumably used as a coverage to transport armed criminals and banned in the headquarters of the state of the APC along Old Nitel Road.
Malami said that his convoy was attacked by “suspicious political criminals” emerging from the APC office, a narrative that he passed off to journalists, complaining that “about 10 vehicles were vandalized” and injured supporters.
However, more eyewitnesses and residents paint a clearly different image, accusing Malami and Koko of Orchestrate the violence itself.
“They were not attacked; they were the attackers,” said a local merchant who witnessed chaos, also speaking anonymously.
“Malami and Koko led these thugs to vandalizing the secretariat of the APC and intimidating supporters. They thought they could do it for relevance, but the people of Birnin Kebbi would not have done it.
“The residents and lealists of the APC identified the criminals, chased them and stopped their absurdities. That’s why Malami is crying foul now – his plan has failed, and is embarrassed.”
Sources added that Koko personally mobilized the bandits, taking advantage of his long -standing connections with the men of the underworld.
“Koko has been connected to the bandits for years,” revealed an Kebbi security agent. “He uses them to harass the opponents, interrupt the elections and create fear.
“This time, he has brought an army of criminals to increase his ADC campaign, while Malami, with his legal influence, has ensured Koko’s protection from his ICPC problems. It is a dirty, clear and simple deal.”
Kebbi State Police Command has started an investigation into the accident.
