Abuja (Core reporter) Nigerian Senate on Wednesday 18 June 2025 Screened, Rt. Hon. Chibom nwuche (Rivers State as President) and Usero offiiong Akpabio (Akwa Ibom State as CEO) of the South South Development Commission (SSDC).

Sony Abang – Finance (Cross River).
Other appointed are Larry Odey (Cross River); Charles Zuofa (Bayelsa); Dr. Nkereuwem Ebong (Akwa Ibom); Chika chindudu (rivers); Femi Oise (Edo); Dr. Charles Sylvester Enukhowhate (Delta); Tijani Yahaya Kaura (North-West); Tabitha Iliya Sallah (North-East); Alh. Yusuf Rasaq Amao (Center-North); Joseph Mmama (South-East) and Bukunola Braimoh (South-West).
However, Miss Akpabio that comes from the area of the local government of Uuan was appointed in May 2025 for the plum work in the commission just created by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Usoro Akpabio is a professional in the energy and public sector expert with over 17 years of impact experience that embraces the oil and gas trade, government relationships, business development and collaborations of the public-private sector. He was recently general manager of the group, trading, government relations and customers at the Century Energy Group, where he also held strategic supervision roles in a gas subsidiary and has contributed significantly to the commitment of the parties concerned, to the regulatory compliance and to cross -border energy negotiations.
He acted as a senior strategic consultant for an important refinery project in Nigeria, leader of operational and legislative integration that have contributed to aligning production strategies with government political paintings and regional offer agreements. His work included the coordination of high -level commitments with the National Assembly and the progress of compliance with the international products of the products.
