Student of the last year Ondo Varsity was killed by a boyfriend

A last year student from Ajasin Adekunle University, Akungba-Akoko in the state of Ondo has been killed by his girlfriend.

Spokesman for State Police Command, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the incident to journalists on Saturday at Akure.

He said: “The victim was the last year of AAUA.

“He was declared missing at first by his boss, who runs a postal business (sales point), after giving him the number of N2 million to be given to someone.

“The money was not saved, and the woman was not found, which was why the boss reported it was lost.

“With efforts to uncover the incident, the police tracking his cellphone, and the results showed his girlfriend.

“When the police officer arrived at his girlfriend’s house, his room was locked. They had to break the door to the room and find his rotting body in his girlfriend’s room.”

He added that the landlord of his girlfriend and several other people, who allegedly facilitated the murder, had been arrested.

Ayanlade, who refused to give the student’s name, said his girlfriend had not been arrested by the police.

“I will not reveal the name of the student killed for now, because it is a case of gender -based violence,” he said.
