Suspected bandits kidnap Kaduna village chief’s wife and child

Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday night kidnapped the wife and two children of the village chief of Galadimawa, Igabi Local Government, Kaduna State, Alhaji Aliyu Haruna Galadimawa.

The victims – Fatima Aliyu (wife), Abdullahi Aliyu (son), and Kamal Aliyu (son) were kidnapped at 11:30 p.m., by bandits who stormed the community with sophisticated weapons and shot their way into the victims’ homes.

Residents told reporters on Wednesday that the attackers came specifically to kidnap the village chief but he was not at home at the time of the incident.

State police spokesman Mansir Hassan confirmed the incident.

However, he promised to provide details about the attack later.
