A former Governor of the State of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal, on Friday accused the President of Bola Tinubu and the Congress of all Progressive (APC) of confiscating the country’s opposition.
Tambuwal, who appeared on Channels Television Politics Today, accused that the president and his party deliberately planned the death of the opposition in the country.
The statement of the former governor may not be connected to the defeat of several governors, members of parliament in the national assembly and state of the people’s Democratic Party and other opposition parties to APC.

Duo of the Governor of the State Delta, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his Akwa Ibom’s partner, Umo Eno, have, earlier this year, dispose of PDP for APC with parliament members from the two states.
Tambuwal said: “When you see what is happening in various political parties in Nigeria today – you do not need to be told, no matter the number of rejections by anyone, including the President of Tinubu Bola, that they are not involved in the destabilization efforts of the opposition parties. This is not true.
“I did not accuse them. I said they were involved in efforts aimed at destabilization of the opposition parties.”
