The Tasieobi Global Foundation continued its commitment to supporting education through its ongoing initiative, Back To School Project ’25, with a visit to Itreto Community Secondary School, Ikot Okobo, in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The initiative, which took place on Monday 6 October 2025, marked the second edition of the Foundation’s school intervention this year. The team, led by founder and director, Sir Elvis Tasieobi, arrived from Uyo and were warmly welcomed by the school management and students, who gathered in the open field in calm morning weather.
Addressing the students, Sir Tasieobi urged them to remain determined and focused in the pursuit of their dreams, stressing that success often begins with discipline and consistency. He warned of the dangers of procrastination and encouraged students to take advantage of every learning opportunity available to them.
“Your current situation does not define your future. What matters are your beliefs, your daily actions and how consistently you pursue your goals,” he said.
Co-founder, Ms. Oyinche Tasieobi, also engaged students in an interactive affirmation session, teaching them the importance of positive self-talk and confidence in their abilities. She guided students in reciting daily affirmations — a practice she says helps her children stay focused and confident.
The awareness-raising activity concluded with the distribution of educational material to students and the school management, as well as with photographic sessions and short interviews.
Speaking about the impact of the project, Sir Tasieobi described material donations as “the least of the things we do”, stressing that the real aim is to inspire hope and confidence in young students.
“We’re not just helping children return to school; we’re helping them return with confidence,” he added.
The visit brought joy and gratitude to both students and staff, and the school management praised the Foundation’s commitment to promoting education at the grassroots level.
So far, the Back To School ’25 project has reached two schools and affected over 200 students. The Foundation says plans are already underway to return to Nsit Ubium and extend the initiative to more schools next year.
