Tems became the first African female artist to hit 1 billion Spotify streams

Singer and songwriter Nigerian winner of Grammy Temilade Openiyi, better known as the stage name Tems, has reached a significant career milestone by becoming the first African female artist to reach one billion streams in Spotify.

His collaboration with the American Rapper Future and Canadian Drake superstar on the hit song around the world “Wait For U” is a major factor in this extraordinary achievement.
