The Defence Headquarters has vowed to arrest notorious terrorist and bandit leader, Bello Turji, who has been using social media platforms like TikTok to mock the public and flaunt his ill-gotten gains.
At a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, assured that Turji’s reign of terror would soon end.
“Regarding Turji, as I said, he is just a madman who feels powerful, but I bet it is only a matter of time. We will catch him, and I can assure you in the shortest possible time, we will solve the problem.”

Turji has used social media to threaten people, celebrate his conquests and show off the large sums of cash collected as ransom from kidnap victims.
However, General Musa described him as a “crazy individual” who had no loyalty to anyone, and his followers as “a bunch of crazy individuals”.
The CDS appealed to the public to cooperate with security agencies to prevent Turji and his followers from moving freely in society.
“Please do not give them any support. Do not give them information about troop movements because that is what is happening. Most of the areas that are still affected by this are because we have informants in the community.”
General Musa’s assurance came after a joint meeting between the Military, Police and Para-Military security agencies, aimed at strategizing on how to address the growing insecurity in the country.
