A 50 -year -old bandit informant identified as Birish, captured by the Katsina Watch Community Corps, has claimed to supply food, fuel, and terrorist water in various communities in the state.

In a video shared on X by counter-saken, Zagazola Makama, Birish, a native of Gozo in the Zango regional government in the state, said he had been involved in a business supplying deadly bandits with logistics such as food, fuel, medicines and drinks for several years before he was arrested after the intelligence report connects it to the action.

While speaking in the language of Hausa, Birish claimed to help the bandits, even though he claimed he did not send the items to them personally.

“My name is Birh, and I am from Gozo, the Zango Regional Government area. I am 50 years old, and I am a pausa by tribes,” he said in the video.

“I have bought fuel and brought it to them. They always send a woman to come and take it and send it to them, and I don’t know his name.”

Birish also revealed the type of inventory he had obtained for the bandits.

“We bought drinks, ‘pure’ water (water sachet), bread, rice, and fuel.

“If we buy all the items for them, they send people to come and collect them in a city near Alhaji Bello’s house.”

But he, denied knowledge about new attacks by the bandits in his community.

“Those who came to attack a man up to five, but I did not know how much they collected from him. He stole some items and was arrested, and the assessment was revealed to him. I was not given money,” he said.
