The alleged bandit killed Vigilante members, the kidnapping couple in Katsina

The armed people suspected of being bandits on Tuesday killed a member of the vigilance group in the state of Katsina.

Spokesman for the State Police Command, Abubakar Aliyu, confirmed the incident to journalists in Katsina.

He said the bandits also kidnapped couples with their daughters in the quarter of Filin Canada in Katsina’s metropolis.

Aliyu said: “Today, August 26, around 3:00 in the morning, some criminals with dangerous weapons attacking the residence of one Anas Ahmadu from the quarter of Filin Canada, Katsina, kidnapping him, his wife, and his daughter, Jidda Anas.

“Also, the criminals fatal shot an Abdullahi Muhammad from the same address, a member of the local judge, and fled from the scene before the arrival of the police operation.”

He added that the police had begun an investigation of the incident.
