Police operations in Nasarawa have arrested a weapon dealer who was allegedly 21 years old in the state.
Spokesman for the State Police Command, Ramhan Nankel, revealed this in a statement on Thursday at Lafia. He said the suspect was on his way to give ammunition to terrorists in the local government area known for terror activities in the state when he was arrested.
The spokesman said: “The arrest followed a credible intelligence showing that Fatima Salisu, a native of Funtua in the state of Katsina, was heading to the Azuba area in the Lafia.

“He is suspected of carrying a large cache of ammunition through Keiana and Doma Lga, on the way to send shipments to criminal elements in Katsina.
“Acting quickly on intelligence tips, police commissioners, CP Shethima J. Mohammed, ordered the direct distribution of command anti-planting units.
“The operation caused the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of 400 rounds of ammunition 7.62x39mm and 81 rounds of NATO ammunition 7.62mm.”
