The arrests of the cultist police have recovered the firearm in Lafia

Lafia (Core reporter) Nasarawa State Police Command in the early hours of Tuesday 8 July 2025 arrested a cultist suspicion Hassan Isah Sidi and recovered a firearm in Lafia, in the capital of the state of Nasarawa.

A declaration by the public relations official of the state command, SP Ramhan Nansel, said: “The Nasarawa State Police Command wishes to inform the public in general of the arrest of a cultist suspicion and the recovery of a firearm in Lafia, the capital of the state.

“On July 8, 2025, around 0010 hours, while on the routine patrol behind the AA Gas system in Lafia, the agents of the Obi 1 division intercepted three young clothes with red clothes – a common symbol associated with worship activities.

“After sighting the police patrol team, the suspicions took in hand. The officers hunted and successfully arrested one of the suspicions, Hassan Isah Sidi ‘M’ 38 years of neighborhoods of millionaires, Lafia.

“An in -depth research of the suspect led to the recovery of an English manufacture gun and criminal pendants deemed used for illegal activities. Efforts are currently underway to trace and arrest the two suspicions on the run.

“The police commissioner, the status of Nasarawa State, the CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, praised the patrol team for their supervision and a rapid response, and has reaffirmed the unshakable commitment of the command to free the state of cultural and related crimes.

“The public is invited to remain respectful of the law, attentive to security and promptly report any activity suspected to the nearest police station,” said the note.
